Player of the year: Zanny Castillo, Cedar Park

The senior outside hitter completed her high school career in fine fashion, leading Cedar Park to the most victories in school history and a District 15-5A championship. She recorded 547 kills and 672 digs, averaging 4.8 kills a game. Castillo was the 15-5A MVP.

Newcomer of the year: Angelica Arroyo, Hutto

The freshman — also the newcomer of the year on the All-Central Texas Team — made a big splash for the Lady Hippos this season, averaging 8.4 assists per game on her way to earning Most Valuable Setter honors in District 19-3A. Arroyo led the Hippos to a 24-12 record, notching 865 assists and 44 aces along the way.

Coach of the year: Kim Fuller, Vista Ridge

Led her young Lady Rangers to their first-ever district championship, and had a team that didn't feature a single senior yet ranked as high as No. 3 in the Class 4A state polls. Vista Ridge fell in the playoffs to New Braunfels Canyon, which went on to the regional finals.

Middle blocker — Elizabeth Graham, Jr., Vista Ridge

26-4A MVP had 506 kills, 116 blocks and 16 aces.

15-5A's newcomer averaged 3 blocks a game for Eagles.

Outside hitter — Madison Bingaman, Jr., Stony Point

All-District pick led Tigers in every offensive category.
